By mid-2017, the DOE water and wastewater laboratory was functional, taking its first steps. Today, Henry is highly trained in ISO/IEC 17025:2017 “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibrating Laboratories”. Alberto Garcia

Heroic Award

Alberto Rene Garcia is a Forest Man at heart.! He was born on the 31st of March 1973 to the lifelong deceased Forestry Ranger Mr Garcia.  As “Beto” would say, “Forestry is in my blood”, and upon finishing high school Alberto applied for a vacant Forest Guard post, which marked the commencement of his lifetime commitment to the Forest Department.

One hot Sunday afternoon Alberto Garcia was on patrol with other officers when his fellow team member fell sick and collapsed.  Without hesitation Mr. Garcia administered repeated CPR on the officer. The officer sadly died and Mr. Garcia made sure the body of his college was not left there he and the others would see to it that the body was carried out.

June Flores

Excellence in Citizen/Customer focused delivery

Ms. June professionalism far exceeds what is expected. In fulfilling her payroll duties, Mrs. Flores has been the officer tasked to deal with the public especially in responding to telephone queries via the main line. The reason for this assignment is that from the onset, management observed that she exhibited excellent telephone etiquette and superior professionalism in the manner that she dealt with the public. Be it officers from different ministries who brought payroll maintenance, or a troubled public officer with a payroll issue she would be extremely helpful in directing this officer through the right channel and ensuring that their concerns are dealt with. Likewise, in the answering of telephone calls Mrs. Flores execute these duties impeccably, she is well equipped to deal with mannerly and the ill-mannered that call in to the Payroll Section.
