In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Sections 7 and 13 of the Belize Electricity Act, Chapter 221 of the Laws of Belize, and all other powers thereunto enabling, the Public Utilities Commission (hereinafter referred to as “the Commission) hereby serves Notice this day, May 10, 2017, to the public that the Commission intends to make Electricity Byelaws with the approval of the Minister of Public Utilities to provide for the classification and granting of LICENSES and CONSENTS and for the INTERCONNECTION of power systems for persons authorized to generate, transmit and supply electricity under licenses granted by the Commission.

Comments: Interested Parties, including licensees, and members of the public are invited to submit written comments on the Proposed Byelaws by June 9, 2017.
