The Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform (MPSCPR) hereby informs the public that a first meeting was held with the Public Service Union of Belize (PSU).
The meeting included the Hon. Henry Charles Usher, the Minister of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform; Dr. Osmond Martinez, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry; and representatives of the PSU which included President Mr. Gerald Henry, Mr. Dean Flowers and Mrs. Anna Myvette.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the recommendation of the Public Service Union on investigating the disposal of Government’s assets under the previous administration. The Union was informed that Cabinet decided to launch a full investigation into the “sell-off” of government assets by the previous administration. The MPSCPR is pleased to inform the public that the PSU has accepted to be part of the investigation process. The inquiry will also include representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Attorney General’s Ministry, the Ministry of the Public Service and the private sector.
The Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform hereby pledges its support to a very productive working relationship with the Public Service Union of Belize.
